I think you misread the post. I don't think the wife is SkyTeam Elite+. I think they want to buy access for all 3 kids.
That said, certainly, you can buy access. I see them swiping credit cards at the front desk all the time! The question is, what rate they'll charge you. I have no idea! I'm thinking that the rack rate is something like $50 a person, but, surely they have different deals for families, etc.
