The bad news you can hear in the overhead announcements "Welcome to Newark International: a smokefree airport."

I believe you cannot even smoke in the airline clubs. I know you cannot at the RCC, not sure about the President's Clubs.

The one area that's ok to smoke, sorry to say, is OUTSIDE. If you can, and you have a club membership, leave your bags in a secure area of the club and go outside and smoke.

I do NOT smoke but I wish that Newark (and JFK and LGA) would do like they did at LAX (maybe SFO too?) Smoking rooms: cubicles with seats where you can smoke among fellow smokers and cigarman can have his, well, cigars.
