Try finding a BA (or handler) counter at many airports.

When BA finally destroyed my checked Rimowa Topas, there was no one to be seen at the counter for their handler at LAX (and it took almost an hour to collect bags and clear customs). The best thing to do for damage you don't notice upon collection or where there is no BA bag counter open is to take pictures and ask BA for an email address to send to them (beware there is a 9Mb limit on mails to BA).
