I flew J to NRT and F from. If OP is going ORD-NRT I would say J in one of the "real" window seats would be good.
Leaving ex-NRT in F is nice for the Z check in area/security and NH suite lounge.

I typically feel this way about most trips that I prefer to leave their "home" airport (TG at BKK, NH at NRT, LH at FRA) in F since the service and amenities are usually a bit more and I am fine for the inbound to be in J.
