Agreed, I did a similar calculation about six months ago and found my cost per TP to be roughly the same on AA and BA (~$15/TP), and closer to $30/TP on CX... This year thanks to ex-EU my cost per TP on BA is a bit less than AA, though not as wide of a margin as expected due to fares on AA being down somewhat from last year.
