I wanted to buy a TK flight to middle east on 016 Ticket. I tried calling in as could not do online. After checking with support the agent told me that TK would not allow UA to sell a TK flight as an 016 ticket. It would have been the best route for me. I complained about the convoluted UA rules for making 1K and how this is a problem. she said thats the way it is.
