Data point for Aviator Red card retention offer 9/5/2015:
Called after AF posted to statement and tried to cancel. Received credit for AF, 2x miles on gas, groceries, utilities for 90 days (limit 8k bonus), and also 500 bonus miles posted to AA account. Spent about 7k on card in past year and 25k on another Barclays card.
CSR also mentioned that I had an offer of 15k miles for spending $500 in Aug, Sep, Oct, but I never seem to have received an email about that. Hope it was just a mistake, because I would never miss a bonus offer like that! CSR mentioned there would be additional bonuses in the future. So fellow Aviators, be on the lookout for those juicy email offers
