Not the most efficient. I suppose if the fleet is being phased out, utilization isn't the most important thing. However the crew needs almost 12 hours on the ground to get sufficient rest.

Alternative 1. Do a mid day turn and lose out on some connections.
Alternative 2. Arrive late and night and depart early in the morning.
Crew spends two nights in YXY.
Less likely. Crew could do overnight turn on the same duty day and spend a few hours sleeping in a hotel. Not pleasant.

I do see YVR-YXE E90 for sale in November.
