I would be hesitant about taking a taxi from Victoria to your hotel. Traffic in central london could be HORRENDOUS and you may end up spending quite a bit of time and money.

As a side note, IMHO the london taxi has got to be the BEST taxi service of any city, clean, very courteous and the most knowledgeable about directions and addresses.

Taking the underground to your hotel is relatively easy. I have stayed at the Marriot Grosvenor Square and from the nearest underground station (Bond Street?) to your hotel is really only about a 5-10 minute walk. You come out of the station, turn left heading towards Marble Arch about 3-4 short blocks, and then you turn left onto the street of the hotel. The hotel is one block from the corner.
