Finally... In India. Maybe not the spot I would have chosen, but still. It opened a few weeks ago (I am told) and is still having teething problems. So that is maybe why refunds took a little longer for the last weeks and possible some more.
Local offices have no more control over money refunds, but they can still manipulate the Avios part.
Part of the process is that if you call to ask 'where is my refund', they are supposed to add a €15 service fee... Not for GCH. That seems very wrong to me. I think it was meant for cancelling over the phone but it is an oversight in the business process design. Make sure that if you call you insist that they waive this fee. My agent brought it up proactively, which is well done.
The aim is to process all refunds within 5 to 7 days, which still feels very turn of the century to me, but ok. Might take a while but lets all hope they get there.
And can a mod add a 'd' to centralise in the title please ? Thanks !
