My wife and I took advantage of one of these offers this summer. We stayed at the HGV on the Vegas Strip (the one on the North end). Even though it was Vegas, the hotel was very family friendly. It had a nice pool and there are no casinos in the HGV properties in Vegas. Don't expect top of the line restaurants or shows as part of this promotion. We had lunch at a decent buffet and went to a stand up comedy show. Given the price we paid, the bonus points, and the dinner/show tickets I think it was worth the 2 hour high pressure sales pitch. My recommendation would be to do your homework about HGV before you go so you are prepared for the pitch. They will fire a lot of (mis)information at you and it will look like a great deal if you haven't read the fine print.
