Yesterday, I went to the Air France website to book 2 business class tickets. For what it is worth I am Flying Blue Silver.
I complete the booking process, I choose my seats and meals, I fill in the passport information, and click for the payment page, which was for $3000 and some change:
" Due to a technical error we cannot complete your booking, please try again"
With a curse, I start the entire process over again, and to my slight pleasure the price this time has dropped by a few dollars. So I click on "continue" for the payment page:
" Due to a technical error we cannot complete your booking, please try again"
Positively irritated now, once again I complete the entire booking process , choose my seats and meals, and the rest of the story. And again I click on "continue" to go to the payment page.
Sacré bleu! It works!
But then...
But then...
I look at the price: it is almost $1,000 more than when I started the booking process!
Even though, on the page before the payment page, if my memory serves me right, there is a statement that the price I have been quoted is valid for a number of hours. I forget, maybe 24 hours. I shall go back and do a booking to refresh my ailing memory.
So I pay. I need to travel, and maybe the price will keep going up every time I try to buy a ticket...
So, if there is anyone from Flying Blue or Air France skimming these illustrious pages: I just want you to know that I think you are a bunch of extortionists, and I will NEVER fly with you again.
