Second this motion -- the Porterhouse stout is better than Guinness!

There are a few Porterhouse pubs in town -- one at the west end of Temple Bar, another near the top end of Grafton Street, and another on the north side of the Liffey somewhere.

If you don't fancy beer, though, skip them and have a drink at the bar in the Shelbourne Hotel on St. Stephen's Green. Major Dublin drinking history there.
