Looking for a luxury SUV rental, ideally an Escalade, for a weekend in mid-October to drive down to Florida and back. I have a large SUV back-up reservation at National ($167) but would really like to give an Escalade a try having rented and loved quiet a few Tahoe LTZ. I understand there's a chance of upgrading to one at National, but from reading about the ATL station thats not likely to be an option as most are sent to Enterprise Exotic. Also, I love National but in 10-15 rentals with them this year, the only luxury upgrades I've seen available were for Infiniti cars or SUVs.
I priced out an "exotic SUV" at Enterprise Exotic, described as Navigator or similar for $442. For the same dates and times at Enterprise I can book a "luxury SUV" described as Navigator or similar for $233.
I'm guessing the Exotic station will have slightly newer/lower mileage models, but am I missing something else to explain the $200+ difference? Both are advertised online as unlimited mileage, and the $442 suv advertises a few other features like premium sound, parking sensors, and navigation - most all of which I would have to imagine would be the $233 (luxury SUV) since every full sized SUV i've rented had those.
I also welcome any and all general input on Enterprise and/or Enterprise Exotic at ATL and any tips on getting an Escalade. Looked at Sixt but no Escalade listed and they wanted around $200/day for that class.
