Thanks, flatlander. I definitely intend to OLCI for the AA domestic, so it will just be a case of re-checking before going landside. I'll also investigate alternatives. SDF is equally good (and I would actually have booked to there had there been a later flight) so plenty of alternatives.

In regard to the express connection, what triggers that? I can see AA spotting it if on one PNR, but not if it's on a separate one.
