Mercifully Mesa is gone on this route. Outstanding service by a great Eagle FA including open bar PDBs, nuts and attentive drink service. Much improved meal service with a choice of roast beef sandwich or pecan crusted chicken salad, which was very good.
And delicious chocolate cake for dessert.
Looks decent enough. I'm not really a fan of fruits in my salad so it probably wouldn't be my first choice, but definitely presents decently well (wax paper excluded). The cake definitely looks good, I'd be happy to see them get away from the cookies on mainline they currently are using. I've never liked them since they changed vendors.

First time in the middle of the plane and it was very pleasant.
Comfy J seat and excellent service by a mixed LAX/JFK crew.
Today's menu...
Starter and salad which today was so typically Hector... two salads. Seriously? You can't be more creative than this??
Short hair Francis had the shrimp with classy foil ramekin. LOL.
I had the chicken which was delicious, basically like a pre 9/1 mid-con entrée.
For dessert, choice of cheese plate or custom made sundaes with Ben & Jerry's vanilla ice cream.
All in all, an excellent 5 hour domestic flight. And kudos to the JFK ground crew that found my iPad which my seat apparently swallowed while I was sleeping.
Oh no! The foil ramekin and double salad courses both strike again!
