For good fondue (melted cheese) i'd suggest the "le Dézaley" in Zurichs "Niederdorf" on the right side of the river. In this cozy restaurant you find the cultural inspiration of the french-speaking part of Switzerland. They also offer good wines from that area (especially whites). For a great (but not so cheap) swiss experience to to the Kronenhalle at Bellevue square / Rämistrasse. Still one of the best places in town.
