If its small/light enough to be a carry-on, then the CATSA screeners will do whatever they do (ion scans, etc.) if they're not satisfied as to its suitability.
It's a small personal router. I wish to pack it in my checked baggage but want to make sure AC is ok with that. Their baggage policy tends to direct electronic devices to carry-on baggage.
