OK - even if one assumes 12.00 AM on 2nd Sept is the middle of the night is it one minute past 11.59 PM on 2nd Sept or one minute before 12.01 AM on 2nd Sept? This was intended as a genuine question - do I have 3 hours to cancel or am a day too late? (It's 21.10 now this side of the Atlantic)
And let's not even start on whether it is sensible to use mm/dd/yy (long/short/longer) or dd/mm/yy (short/long/longer).
