A couple of things...
I disagree with your findings about light.
More light does not necessarily lead to better pictures, unless your definition of "better" is a "brighter'.
And you can always influence the amount of light your camera takes in... Unless you have a camera with a fixed shutter release which cannot be modified.
Also, when you say that Yahoo is your data mirror... what is it a mirror of? Perhaps you mean that you use Yahoo as your main repository.
