Although I'm not a diamond I have stayed at the WA in Versailles and did a lot of research on this place a couple years back. I don't believe there is a food and bev discount. Keep in mind one of the restaurants is labeled as a Gordon Ramsay so of course they won't be giving that away.
Breakfast is 22E to 37E depending on what you order.
You MIGHT get some sort of discount at the Spa. You will also get two free welcome beverages (which used to be a standard benefit at all WAs, but quietly disappeared a couple of years ago). The welcome beverages can include champagne and their house pour is Pommery (18E) so they do have value.
You will really want to work hard for the upgrade. Although I've heard the rooms in the Pavillion are nice, being in the main building is what it's all about.
Whenever I plan a trip to Paris, I make sure the bulk of my stay is in the city itself, then I carve out a couple of days just to visit this place. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Aim to be there on a Sunday and you can visit the open air market. It's a very Parisian experience.
Other item of note: I walked from the closest train station to the hotel. It wasn't a short walk, but it was manageable, safe and pleasant.
