Marriott Not that Nice

In 2014, I became Hilton Diamond (which expires spring 2016) and in 2012-13 I was Delta Platinum Plus (Unfortunately that expired). Both of those gives you less than Silver at Marriott. I had NO IDEA that Hotel business was doing so well that they would turn away Corporate client members with offering 0 incentives to switch.

I understand that Status Match is next to impossible, but now even Fast Tracking or Challenges are basically non existent.

Currently (as a Diamond Hilton member and former Delta Platinum Plus (a current Marriott partner), the best their Customer Relationship personnel can do is recommend I stay three times to get their Silver, then 6 more stays to get their Gold ?

Looks like all my (and my colleagues) are going to have to stick to Hilton and the hotels that Matched Status - Club Carlson and Hyatt. I was going to go back to Delta Hotels, but their Marriott now and seeing how they treat people wanting to switch brands AND how they treat past Elite Members, me thinks the Marriott is not in long term Hotel needs.

Hope this post helps those forced to join the Marriott Rewards program from Delta. The will drop you the second they can.
