Just completed two TATL segments on the 787. Sweated like a pig and hardly slept eastbound, was reasonably comfortable and slept a little westbound. In both cases, I never took the comforters (no way you can call those "blankets") out of their plastic bags.
I totally could've done with a cooler ambient temperature.
And no, I didn't raise the point with the SD, because:

There are >20 people in J cabin, my comfortable temperature is not the same as everyone else. (I am comfortable down to very low temps) Everyone asks some are not going to be happy with result.
