Yes KTM-AUH-ORD is Etihad.
KTM-AUH sector is on A320, will be 2 x 2 in biz, so no problem.
AUH-ORD is on 777-300 ER, which features a 1-2-1 config in biz. The pair of central seats (E,F) which are close are very useful for your situation.

Cathay's biz seats are a bit more private in every aircraft, so may not be suitable to you.
But if sitting together in business, lie-flat seats is all you're after, you can do much worse than AI/UA. Both have lie-flats too.
