Hi Guys--
I currently have reservations for both the Park Hyatt and the Andaz on 5th. I'll obviously cancel one of them once I decide. I wouldn't normally spend $1k/night on a hotel room, but since it's a perk of new card membership, I figured WTH--my girl deserves to be treated right on her first trip to NYC.
While I'm sure we'll be fine with either property, I'd just like to pick the one that going to provide us the best overall experience.
For free I'd go with the PH, haven't been there myself. How are you holding reservations at both using the credit card nights unless it's for only one night.

I rarely look at tripadvisor, it's full of really uninformed reviews with unreasonable complaints. While FT is full of elite member reviews, with the skewed perspectives, the op is certainly an experienced traveler.
FWIW, there can be service lapses at any property, several, years ago at RC Central Park, there was a bunch of comical errors during my stay, the maid left a stack of towels on the chair, thread are duvet cover, tattered bath mat, somebody's room service not picked up for over 24 hours.
