Either way, you have to transit via DEL if using UA miles.

Using AA miles, EY can be a very good option via AUH. You will only transit AUH and will get to use US pre-clearance.
Another option is CX/KA, KTM-HKG on KA and onwards on CX.
Great advice!

I don't think I can use AA miles on KA even though it is partner or part of CX.

I tried that and they said yes to CX to HKG no to to KA to KTM.

Which one is a longer flight? KTM-AUH-ORD, KTM-HKG-ORD, KTM- BKK-FRA-ORD?
And if I have a young child and booking biz class, which one is better? We would like seats next to each other to see and help him if he wants.

I have booked ORD-HKG and a wek later, going to DEL and a week later to KTM.

I booked Cathy coach to HKG with AA miles. I haven't yet booked the next flights, I will most likely do BA avios on Cathy to DEL.

I don't see any other options for DEL-KTM flight on miles. United shows 20K miles for that 1 & half hour flight per person.

I thought I could use Avios on jetways but it's not the case. What do you think here?
