Breaking the BA habit and so glad I did.

After using BA CW for a number of years, recently did a return trip Oslo to Singapore using Emirates.

Just over a year ago I made a previous trip to Singapore, that time flying with BA. The choice then was made largely due to brand loyalty, habit, and being able to use points to upgrade to first.

Just last September, Emirates opened up a new route from Oslo to Dubai. Some enticing opening offers made me decide to give them a try. This allowed me to sample their premium A380 business product as well as the more conventional on 777-300 and 777-200LR. Boy did this really show how far BA, The "Worlds" Favourite airline, has fallen service wise.

BA really did miss a trick when they introduced the A380's into their fleet. They marketed it as
"Once you step on board you’ll see how the care and attention to detail of our design team has resulted in a cabin environment that’s sophisticated and contemporary, giving a reassuring sense of wellbeing and comfort."
when really it is just the same old, same old.

Ok, this wasn't supposed to sound like an anti-BA rant. But, I do think BA have been resting on their laurels for far too long.
