I'm a lifetime Plat (multi-million points and still have over 2M active) for MR, but have become so disenfanchised with Marriott (I can't afford the RC or the 4S) the past few months that I've recently decided to switch my business to Hyatt.

As part of my transition to Hyatt, I received the Hyatt card and of course get 2 free nights at any Hyatt property and have decided to use them in NYC for New Year's Eve. I was thinking either Park Hyatt or Andaz 5th Ave and was leaning toward the Park since it's a Cat 7, but the recent spate of less than flattering reviews has given me pause for concern.
