Why not just do exactly the same thing but w/o the spend? I.E., year 1 get 3-6K MQDs with 130K MQMs make silver with carry, Year 2 a quick 20K MQM and 25K$ spend.

You would then make PM from early year 2 through Feb year 4. The only disadvantage of this (vs the proposed idea) is that you are not PM from late year 1 to early year 2.

The advantage is that it would actually work.
