As mentioned by others, Hertz has been having a lot of documented issues. From an inventory mismatch to demand issues, they are single handily affecting the entire industry (came up a few times in the Avis Budget call without being named).
I have taken advantage of some of the issues from a pricing perspective, but they are also leading in major opaque channels while others are trying to cutback (considered to be a channel without pricing power).
Things can change quickly in the business, but this is a tough time in particular for Hertz.
