2 successful attempts on my first few tries in 2014, since then only denials. The problem is when you get stupid/BS denials, it only makes me more determined to "play the game" and stick it to 'em.
I'm sure you can call in and at least adjust the rate to the lower IHG rate than when you booked? Would be cruel otherwise. SPG at least I've never had an issue calling in and adjusting my rate if it dropped after a booking.
