Most of the breakfast spreads are considered liquid/gels as they are viscous. I've seen honey, jam and marmalade confiscated. The folks with the honey were particularly sad as this was one of those farm bought things rather than just supermarket capilano.
Back on the vegemite you can get a 300g jar in the states fairly easily, for about $8.95!!!
