I totally agree. I have flown a few times on the 787 long haul in economy and after the last flight, I have decided to no longer take the Nightmareliner. If it needs to be flown at 9 abreast for the airline to get the economics they need and Boeing cannot make it work at 8 abreast, then I will look for other aircraft that give me a more comfortable seat. If the 787 and the 777-X (which also appears to be with a similar 17 something inch width are indeed the Future of Flying, then I'd rather keep the present....
