You're on an express regional jet flight, what do you expect? Those planes have extremely limited catering capabilities. I mean has anyone seen the galleys for those planes.

I'm surprised there was at least a meal served. On any single given United Express flight the best thing you'll get is a pre-packed snackbox of various things you can buy at the dollar store.
