Not BA, but I was in seat 1A for the first ever A380 to leave Heathrow on a commercial flight. Singapore on SIA in March 2008. Plenty of press on board, I did a few interviews, probably all on the cutting room floor.

Coincidentally I was also in T3 departures to witness the test flight a couple of years earlier to see if it fitted at the then new gates.
