With my 5s connected to my BT external speaker box (DKnight model from amazon), this is what happens:

1. phone rings, it's extremely LOUD.
2. alarm on stop watch doesn't work
3. Reminder list from Fantastical calendar does not ring
4. Calendar event from fantastical calendar does not ring

Strange, when I set up the various alarms, speaker plays the input clicks???
