Called BA (Silver EC line) this afternoon and spoke to a lovely (French?) chap called Benjamin, who agreed I was under-awarded the points and Avios. I gave him the ticket number and the AA PNR, confirmed the purchase date, and he promised to send it off to AA for correct crediting. Could take up to 28 days...so will watch and wait. Not holding my breath, but it sounded impressive enough!
