I can't seem to find anything in the advertisement stating that I have to purchase the ticket with the card as long as my skymiles account number is on the reservation. Can I just show the card at time of check-in for the free bag and then at the gate for priority boarding?

I do quite a bit of travelling for business but very little of it is on Delta so I would prefer to purchase tickets with my Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Thanks,

Hi, Ski, and welcome!

This will likely go to the Delta | SkyMiles forum, because it's a natural, and instead of getting general replies from bozos like me, you'll get "fair dinkum " answers from Delta-experienced flyers who know.

That having been said: Many airline credit cards only require their credit card to be in your profile information for a period of time (like seven days); at that point, it doesn't matter if you use that card or not - though often you'll earn two or even three miles per dollar spent when you use the airline's card to buy your tickets there.
