Oh, to answer your question...

The Airbus 320 max. cabin width is listed at their website as 12ft 1in (3.70m). The Boeing site for some reason didn't list the interior widths for the "Classic 737s", but it did for the "Initial-model 737s", which are the 737-100s and 737-200s... their interior width is listed at 11'6"... so, assuming the same interior widths on the 737-300, then it would appear that the Airbus is indeed a bit larger, however I can't confirm that the 737-300 and up actually share the same interior width with the Initial Models...

It's amazing, isn't it, how that extra 7 inches across is so noticeable?
