I've succeeded in getting TPs awarded in a very similar situation according to what the calculator says I should receive, even though I booked the flights after 28 April. My argument was that I was only 10 TPs off Silver and I only flew with AA because of the TPs. It's definitely worth an email to BAEC asking. Be warned it will take a few weeks and perhaps a couple of chasing phone calls to get a proper response, however, and I do think I was in a lucky minority in being successful!
