I am going on my honeymoon tomorrow(month after wedding) and we are traveling ATL>LAX on the 420pm flight

We leave LAX>PPT flight at 1159 pst

My wife is having trouble leaving work early so I called up to diamond line and she said we cannot change to another flight bc same day confirm is not for international flights even though I just want to change my domestic leg. We are also using reward tickets btw.

She talked to her supervisor and said I could change it but it would be 60,000 miles each!!! Is it even worth it to call back to get someone else or pointless at this point bc this rule there is no bending? If I took the 520 Atl>lax flight I still have MORE than enough time to connect in LaX
