I sadly think this could see the demise of F lounges as we know them.

However, perhaps when the economic environment turns, BA may reconsider the enormous gulf in benefits this creates: get 600 TPs and you will get the same lounge access as a GCH or GGL; only when you hit 5,000TPs will BA offer you a better lounge product (unless you fly in F).

It might work for a while, but it sure going to encourage many (myself included) to get status that gives lounge access with other alliances as well as BA Silver and to make more use of PP. Of course that means more flights with the competition than would have been the case if Gold (or GGL) had any real benefits.
