Some publication somewhere said that this is supposed to be another bad winter, so I'm going to try and squeeze the Fall Do in before something bad happens. I got a lot of responses over the summer that Wednesdays are bad, so I'm going to go wild and crazy and, yes, try a Thursday. We've had pretty good luck at Kinsale, so let's keep it there for now. Do time is 6 pm.

Usual Do stuff: Newbies are welcome and encouraged to join us. The Boston group has a notable lack of prima donnas, which makes for a nice gathering. What happens at the Do stays at the Do. Bring a notebook, in case you get an idea you don't want to forget. I'll try and remember to bring nametags.

For those who are new, we usually just order food and drinks independently (but on the same check) and then somebody collects cash at the end of the night. Tip and tax get included, so it's pretty much what you ordered plus 25%.

The policy in the past has always been to donate excess to charity but, at the risk of sounding un-generous, I'd like to change that policy to just holding it over for the next Do. Two reasons: First, it's rarely more than a few dollars, and second, I don't feel comfortable picking a charity on behalf of the group. All suggestions are welcome.
