My daughter is now 7 and is shepherded around London by Uber (Uber Exec, admittedly) by her nanny all day. Our bill is around £800 per month, admittedly offset by referral credits.

Once she can use an iPhone properly, probably in about 3 years, I would have no qualms at all about ordering an Uber Exec, popping her in it and having the guy drive her to a friends house. None at all.

It is substantially safer and more traceable than a black cab. I can see the position of the car on my telephone at all times and I have a full record of the driver. Almost every Uber Exec driver works for a big driving group anyway - they are not people using their own cars.
