After qualifying for Diamond Status how long does it typically take to receive Diamond card and DSUs? Are the DSUs even something you physically receive or how do you track?

I ask because I qualified for Diamond on Aug 7 and my status updated on line to Diamond a few days later. I need to make some new bookings within the next few days and was hoping to apply DSUs.
