I've not flown 380 yet but I can see that in my experience, on the larger planes, I feel the bumps less. I'd say the Emirates that I just flew from JFK to MXP was one of the smoothest flights I've ever been on in my life. Barely felt anything, even on taking off and landing, which is highly unusual for me.
