Is it possible to pay hotel fees in pesos as a foreigner? I read that there was a crackdown on hotels and other tourist related businesses not accepting pesos and the foreign customer had to pay with a credit card (so as to pay at the official rate)
My guess (and it's just that) is that the crackdown is a short term issue.
As for your hotel bill, it can certainly be paid in pesos. Do not use your credit card or dollars.
