I received a strange response regarding a missing promo bonus. It was about the 1K/3K/4K promo back in the Spring for three stays (through 8/31). My second stay (in May) was a reservaton which was had the arrival date changed after the initial booking. The confirmation number remained the same. So, last week I e-mailed them with the details. And they responded rather quickly. They did agree that the stay would qualify for the promo but "due to technical glitches they are experinecing with their IT system", it may take a while for the bonus points to post. Which is re-assuring that they affirmed my request. It is odd that they cannot post the points manually. And it is a little frustrating because I am only 900 points away from Gold status; and this is delaying that from happening. Their customer service puts me through all of the emotions.
Edit: I just checked my account, and the 3K points posted a few days ago. I'm shocked it took less than 2 weeks to resolve this matter. Now I'm Gold and have to accumulate just under 13K points before the end of April to achieve Platinum. Bring on the new fall 10K point bonus already!! But it's a little irritating that I now have another altered account number. It appears that the 7th sequence number goes up one digit while the 16th number goes down two with each new elite level.
