Personally, I'm not going to pay $300 for a Samsonite when I can get a Briggs & Riley or Eagle Creek from a discounter like Sierra Trading Post for less than $200 and still get their lifetime warranty.

A better question would be to ask the "best" bag given what size you want, your budget, and any other priority issues. If I wanted a cheap bag that I knowingly wouldn't use more than a handful of time, I'd buy something for $30-$50 at Costco or TJ Maxx....
