We are now flying United, ANA-operated, SFO-NRT, on a 77W.

(Long story short, the original plan was to go via IAH, since the only SFO option was to get on an agéd United 747, but now we can get the shorter route AND avoid the 747, so why not?)

The United engine wouldn't let me advance book seats--any to avoid in particular? The SeatGuru tells me there are 4 versions of this aircraft, but not which one makes this flight...
